This monograph was prepared based on the practical project AL-5321091567 “Development of territorial “design codes” taking into account the traditional architecture and culture of historical cities of Uzbekistan and natural and climatic conditions” within the framework of the State Scientific and Technical Programs. It covers a comprehensive analysis of the experience in Uzbekistan in preserving historical urban areas, creating an attractive aesthetic architectural environment design, and improving tourism infrastructure through the establishment of “Design Code” rules.
The monograph analyzes a wide range of information on the formation of the architectural and urban environment in the historical areas of the city, softening and adapting the contrast of the incoming modern elements, and regulating them while maintaining the tourist attractiveness of the area.
The main focus is on the development and implementation of the “Design Code” of historical areas, taking into account the traditional architecture and culture of the city, as well as the natural and climatic conditions of the area. For these purposes, the main problems in the use of historical areas are considered.
